About Underhill Aussies
Hello & thanks for stopping in 😊
Ever since I was little I was fascinated with the Australian Shepherd and wanted to own this breed one day. Our family has farmed/lived in the country for as long as I can remember so I knew the dogs would stay busy and at the same time be useful. At the beginning of 2021 I picked up my first Aussie and since then I’ve been hooked!
I've found that the medium sized Aussies (aka Mini Aussies) have the same spunk and abilities of the Standards, but only in a smaller package. I’ve been privileged to get my dogs from some great breeders who put time and effort into improving the confirmation of these dogs towards the standard of what they should be (larger heads, thicker in bone- hence better suited for the work Aussies were meant to do on farms) while still preserving the brains and abilities that are so essential in this breed if you want to use them as a working dog. Any breeding I do will be done with healthy dogs. I’ll only have 1-2 litters a year as the dogs are my companions as well and I want to spend a decent amount of time with each one.
My aussies are wonderful sidekicks and go boating/ hiking/riding with us. I bring them with me wherever I possibly can. I've had all my dogs since they were 8 weeks old, so they grew up being thrown into whatever action is happening in my life. This breed is very tough, loyal and eager to please.
Finding homes that properly suit my puppies is the biggest priority to me. When the time comes, it is hard to see them go but I love to see the parent's personalities coming out in their puppies and making other folks so happy.
Formerly located in East TN, we are now near Pierson, Florida. 30 minutes west of Daytona Beach.
I hope you enjoy browsing the website and seeing my dogs!

A little more about me. . .
My first encounter with an Australian Shepherd was when I was 6. Our neighbor had a sister that visited occasionally, but I only ever remembered her by the dog she brought. . . sounds bad I know! I was too enamored by that cute blue merle Aussie. At the time, I wasn't very familiar with the breed but it didn't take me too long to learn more!
After graduating in 2021 I finally got in to what I'd been dreaming of ever since I was 6. Tucker, Ruby, Rusty, Robin, Wren, Raven and Redman are the reason you will never catch me alone again on the farm .
